Making Mondays: A scarf in progress

So, clearly I have a very loose interpretation of Mondays...but here we are anyway!  With all the weather we have been having like this lately -

...I was in the mood for knitting something cosy for Yashar.  And sometimes when I have a lot on (I'll show you what I've been up to soon!) I just need to sit down with a good movie and do some knitting...I find it so relaxing!  Are you the same? 

Anyway despite the huge amount of handknitted things Yashar has (lucky boy!), he could actually do with another scarf so I settled on this pattern that I found at It's a Stitch Up. 

It is actually really straight forward - really just knit 2 purl 2, but staggered on the rows to give the diagonal lines.  The only thing I have trouble with (as usual!) is remembering where I am up to in the 8 row pattern.  I ended up tying on a little marker at the end of each row so that I could just count the rows from the marker when I lose my place.
