Um...yes...I'm posting about Christmas already

Thank you so much for the ideas for using sage! They have been making my mouth water just reading about them - can't wait to try them!

I am getting a little bit excited about some of the things in the works here. And yes, I know it's incredibly early for Christmas things, but I also know that it can take a looooonng time to get things done around here - a combination of looking after my little boy (which I love and wouldn't give up for anything) and the crazy amount of time it takes sourcing things here in Turkey (things that in Australia or the US you would just be able to saunter into your craft or art supply shop and grab off the shelf).

So here I am full of ideas for Christmas - a time of year I love! Apart from the obvious...spending time with family and lots of good food, I especially love gorgeous decorations, pretty Christmas wrapping under the tree (you might have picked that up from the present ties I crocheted for attaching to last year's gifts) and special packages that have made their way from overseas. But I would also really like to get your opinions...what sort of things would you like to be able to buy at the Light Garden, what sort of gifts are you looking for, why do you buy things from one place but not another, any other pearls of wisdom for me??

I would be so happy (and appreciative!) if you left a comment and let me know what you think.
ps Here is another work in progress that I have high hopes for! The knitted pieces of this little lamb are looking good but we'll see on Monday if it all comes together well... fingers crossed!

Ooh - I think the drawings in your sketch pad look very promising! And I'm looking forward to Christmas too... it's my favorite part of year - even though it's always hard to spend it far from my family back home in Sweden. This year I'll have a 2 1/2 year old and a five month old by Christmas! :)

What I would love to see in the Light Garden is home made small baby friendly toys (like knitted or crotched objects). I don't know if you would be able/interested in making that kind of things. Also, I love your personalized prints, which make perfect Christmas presents!

If there's anything I can get for you as far as craft material goes, I would love to help! I know how hard it is to be without things that you are used to getting easily "at home"... so it would be my absolute pleasure to help you out!! Maybe we could do a little trading package thing?

I haven't commented in a while, but I still read everything you read. I always look forward to your crafts! :)

Also, I just opened a new blog in English! Welcome over there!

Take care and have a great weekend!
(It seems like I can't put my e-mail address in the info field, but it is teaforthoughts@yahoo.ca - I changed it with my blog)

As I have 2 curly headed little boys, one blonde and the other brown, I'd love some drawings so I can get them one each!
